Many of our patients are concerned about the Coronavirus, also known as COVID-19. Because a lot of our patients are older and have chronic conditions, we want to let you know we are doing everything possible to ensure that your visit to our office is a safe one. Our office receives daily communications local, state, and federal authorities about how to protect you and others from COVID-19. Here are the steps we are taking to implement these recommendations.

How We Are Ensuring Patients In Our Office Stay Healthy

  • If you or anyone you are in close contact is experiencing any flu-like symptoms, give our office a call, and we will reschedule your visit.
  • Tissues, hand sanitizer, and masks will be provided in our reception area. We are asking anyone who comes to our office who experiencing flu-like symptoms (coughing, fever, etc) to wait at the front door. These patients will be asked to reschedule their appointment from home.
  • As always, Dr. Berg and Lucy will continue to wear personal protective equipment and perform proper hand hygiene in accordance with State and Federal standards as usual. This includes hand washing or using hand sanitizer, wearing and changing gloves frequently, and wearing a mask when appropriate.
  • We are also taking extra care to wipe down all surfaces in the patient rooms as well as the waiting area with Clorox products.
  • Please remember to be respectful to those around you by practicing good hand hygiene and adhering to proper cough etiquette (see below).

How to Protect Yourself From Covid-19

Public Health - Seattle & King County are recommending the following to protect you and family members from the virus:

  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Avoid contact with people who are sick.
  • Stay home while you are sick and avoid close contact with others.
  • Cover your mouth/nose with a tissue or sleeve when coughing or sneezing.
