We're pleased to be able to offer our patients MLS laser therapy, the newest option for treating acute and chronic foot and ankle pain.
This revolutionary cold laser treats acute and chronic pain conditions such as heel pain, plantar fasciitis, neuromas, Achilles tendonitis, arthritis, new and old ankle injuries, and slow healing fractures.
MLS Laser Therapy is an advanced laser technology that works to eliminate pain and reduce inflammation in the body without the use of painful injections or potentially habit forming drugs. There are no known side-effects.
How Does It Work?
The MLS laser uses dual wavelengths of infrared light to penetrate deep into the tissue and stimulate regeneration at the cellular level. One laser is pulsed and treats pain. The other laser is continuous and treats inflammation. Combined, these lasers offer a powerful treatment solution for stubborn foot and ankle problems.
How Many Treatments Will I Need?
Laser therapy is painless and takes just 15 minutes. Dr. Berg will evaluate your medical condition to determine how many treatments are needed for pain relief, healing, and a return to regular activities. Although many patients begin to have pain relief after a few visits, patients will need to receive six to ten treatments for complete healing. For acute conditions patients will require six treatments and for chronic conditions, ten.
Are the Results Long Lasting?
MLS Laser Therapy is about healing. With MLS Laser Therapy, we are not masking or covering up a condition, but treating the root of your pain and inflammation. As a result many patients have seen long-term results.
Can It Be Used in Conjunction with Other Forms of Treatment?
Yes, MLS Laser Therapy can be used in conjunction with other treatment modalities. For example, a patient with plantar fasciitis may receive laser therapy for pain reduction and inflammation. Additional modalities may include taping, air heel, Achilles splint, orthotics, and/or physical therapy.

Will the treatment hurt?
No, laser therapy does not hurt. There is little or no sensation during treatment.
How long does a typical treatment session take?
The length of a typical treatment session is 10 to 15 minutes. However, it depends on the size of the area being treated. Frequency of treatments and treatment plans are determined on an individual basis.
How many treatments does it take?

Amazing results for improving my long-term foot pain problems. Dr. Berg took the time to listen to my concerns and addressed them in a logical manner. His new low-level laser treatment gave me amazing improvement of an old ankle injury from a car accident as well as improving the neuropathy in my toes that was keeping me awake at night.
