Give Your Sweetie Pretty Toes for Valentines Day

Now that the Olympics have begun it’s time to help your sweetheart look and feel like a winner. You could give her chocolate and roses for Valentine’s Day, but perhaps a gift of beautiful toenails would really show that you love her.

Toenail fungus is very common and your sweetheart could have gotten it from the shower room at her gym or even from injury to the nail from running. No matter how she got it, she very likely hates it. She wants to feel beautiful but every time she stares at her toes she sighs because she can’t stand looking at her feet. Very likely she thinks you can’t stand it either.

Although there are many ways to treat toenail fungus, two common treatments either slow the growth of fungus but don’t eliminate it (topicals) or they carry a risk of liver damage (oral medications).

Fortunately there is a new treatment that works extremely well to get rid of toenail fungus. Our podiatry office has been using the PinPoint FootlaserTMsince January 2013. At first I wasn’t sure how well this treatment would work since there was not a lot of documented research on the subject, but after treating many patients and seeing the great results, I can confidently say that this treatment is a wonderful option for those suffering from this condition.  In addition, our laser patients have been very happy with the results.

“Two of my nails were infected. The laser was painless. It was amazing to see the difference” – Ana B.

Laser treatment takes only 30 minutes, is painless, and has no long term side effects. To learn more about the treatment of onychomycosis (toenail fungus), check out a complete description of our program on Seattle Fungal Toenail Center.
