While there are many treatments for plantar warts, most of them aren’t very effective (about 30%-40%) and they have a high recurrence rate (20%).
Treatments for Plantar Warts
The most common treatments are those that destroy the wart itself including:
- Freezing
- Prescription strength salicylic acid (can use at home)
- Blistering medicine
- Surgery
Although these methods will often get rid of warts quickly, they aren’t very effective at destroying the root cause—which is the HPV or Human Papilloma virus.
The only therapy designed specifically to destroy the virus is Swift Microwave Therapy. In addition, it has a much higher success rate (85%) and a very low recurrence rate (<1%) because it’s eliminating the virus from your system.
