Dr. Rion A. Berg
Dr. Berg was raised in Staten Island, New York. After attending the University of Michigan, he received his master's degree in physical therapy from Stanford University and his doctorate from the California College of Podiatric Medicine. His post-doctoral training was with his father who practiced podiatry in Staten Island for 43 years and at Straith Memorial Hospital in Southfield Michigan.
Dr. Berg has practiced podiatry in Seattle since 1980 and is board certified in foot surgery. He is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He is on staff at Northwest Hospital and has been a leading member of the Northwest Hospital medical team's wound care center for over 13 years.
Community service rates high with Dr. Berg. He is the current President of the Rotary Club of Seattle NE, where he has recently led ongoing efforts rallying Dollars For Scholars, building a Rotary Interact Club for high school students, and feeding the needy at the holidays. A long-time member of the Lake City Chamber of Commerce (now the North Seattle Chamber), Dr. Berg is in his second term as Vice President. Dr. Berg spearheaded a "Shop Local" campaign for neighborhood businesses and with his fellow Rotarians past and present, have sponsored the annual Lake City Pioneer Days Kid's Parade for over 50 years.
Dr. Berg and his wife, Michele are avid fans of the Pacific Northwest and raised their three, wonderful children here. When time permits, Dr. Berg is sailing or playing guitar.
Dr. Robyn W. Paloian
Dr. Robyn W. Paloian is excited to be working with our patients at the Foot and Ankle Center of Lake City. Having relocated with her family from her hometown of Minneapolis last year, she has been enjoying getting to know beautiful Seattle.
An honors graduate of the Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine, Dr. Robyn completed her residency in foot and ankle surgery at Presbyterian Medical Center in Philadelphia, part of the esteemed University of Pennsylvania Health System. She holds a B.S. degree in Neuroscience from Emory University.
Dr. Robyn applies her comprehensive training to all aspects of foot and ankle care, and is experienced at treating patients of all backgrounds and ages. She's great with moms and kids. In her free time, Dr. Robyn enjoys piano, jogging, yoga, and hiking with her husband and on-the-go toddler.
Lucy Gleeson, Office Manager
Lucy has been with our practice since 1989. She has an Associate of Arts degree from North Seattle Community College, which includes a certificate in medical assisting. She came with experience in reception, medical assisting and billing. She worked for 6 1/2 years in family practice and 5 years at Virginia Mason Gastroenterology Department. In our practice, Lucy's organizational skills and experience have been used in patient care, billing and for the last 15 years as Office Manager. Lucy and her husband live in Lynnwood. They have 4 grown children and 3 grandchildren. When not at work, Lucy and her husband enjoy spending time with their family, church activities and motorcycle riding.
Leandra Taylor, Medical Assistant
Leandra Taylor joined The Foot and Ankle Center of Lake City 3 years ago. With her warm smile, genuine care for our patients and excitement about the services we provide, Leandra helps patients feel at ease while assisting Dr. Berg at appointments.
Leandra continues to educate not only herself, but also our patients to provide the highest quality in podiatric care. She was born in Seattle, Washington and graduated from Pima Medical Institute in 2006 for Medical Assisting. Leandra lives in Renton, Washington and enjoys spending time with family and friends cycling and many other outdoor activities.
Jan Fisher, Medical Assistant
Jan Fisher is orignally from Black Hills South Dakota, but has lived in Washington most of her life. She is degreed from Praxis School of Art in marketing and graphic arts and holds certifications in Phlebotomy and Health Care Assisting.
She has the unusual experience of learning wound care for herself after a serious foot injury in 1997. She later completed her healthcare training and began working in the medical field. She joined the Foot and Ankle Center in May 2012.
Jan's hobbies are fishing, hiking, camping and spending time with her family.
